Principles for Selling Snow as a Risk Management Service

with Gabriel Asebedo

The snow profession is unique and challenging. Services are rendered while outdoor conditions are at their worst, yet the completion and quality of the service(s) are relied upon by the customer to promote business opportunity and ensure both private and public safety. Snow professional’s sometimes describe themselves as “risk managers” with the intent to distinguish the importance of quality, timely delivery, and on-going application of snow and ice management techniques that mitigate costly liability. The intent of this webinar is to educate participants about the tools of risk management and distinguish risk management from general management within snow services.

From this presentation you will:

  • Learn the definition of risk management
  • Attach greater meaning and value to risk management as a service
  • Learn to apply risk management as a service and a sales enhancement opportunity
  • Distinguish the differences between Risk Avoidance, Risk Reduction, Risk Retention, Risk Transfer, and Risk Sharing
